Introducing a Design Transformation
The Abdul Majeed Project involved transforming an existing property into a multifunctional family home characterized by luxury and simplicity. Our refined client desired clean lines and a neutral color palette in a home requiring private family spaces as well as areas for play, entertainment and formal gathering.

Crafting Luxury and Simplicity:
At the heart of the brief was the need for a clean uncomplicated aesthetic that combined contemporary and classic design. This was achieved by utilizing a rich, yet neutral color palette, creating a serene and cohesive foundation throughout the residence. Shades of beige, soft whites, and muted greys dominate, offering a calming backdrop that enhances the architecture’s contemporary lines. To infuse personality and vibrancy, the design incorporates carefully chosen elements of color, texture and pattern. Sculptural lighting and abstract artwork feature throughout. Plush rugs and embroidered cushions add depth and warmth to the space. These layered decorative details are key to the overall narrative of luxury and comfort.
Bespoke Beauty:
The Addul Majeed Project combines practical function with aesthetic beauty. The design maximized any existing features that the client wished to preserve, for example, bespoke decorative handles have been applied to the existing doors. New custom-made design elements improve the functionality and layout of the space. A stunning bespoke console divides space on the ground floor. Crafted using materials such as marble, leather, and velvet wallpaper, this unique piece of furniture is both multifunctional and timeless. Areas have been designed to be flexible and practical. For the children’s play area, research was undertaken to source furniture that is moveable, safe and fun to use. Clever recessed storage keeps the room organized and visually interesting.
An Innovative Approach to Materials
A deep appreciation for materials and their properties characterizes this project. The hue, shape and surface of terracotta vessels provided the inspiration for an outdoor area infused with natural tones and textures.  In the pool area a bespoke wall was constructed using limestone, the material’s composition makes it not only beautiful and tactile but also durable enough to withstand the moisture and environmental elements typical of poolside environments. The rounded abstract forms sculpted from the limestone give the space a natural organic quality. In the bathroom Carrara marble was used throughout the flooring, bath and walls, The same material has been used in different ways to create different shapes and surface patterns, enabling the design to retain a clean aesthetic imbued with the richness of detail.
