At the heart of this project is a deep understanding of the client’s aesthetic discernment and practical needs.  The result is a seamless layout that balances shared and private spaces, offering areas for connection and retreat. Social areas are designed as the centerpiece of the home. Private areas such as the family living and reading room provide intimate spaces for peace and sanctuary. Whether hosting grand gatherings or enjoying quiet family moments, the space adapts effortlessly to the needs of its inhabitants. Every design decision has been made to enhance the family’s living experience.
A Rich Vintage and Architectural Aesthetic
This discerning client favored a rich vintage aesthetic featuring clean lines and dark tones accented by artwork referencing his interests, from yachting to sports cars. The men’s majlis incorporates a rich palette of grey, black, brown and deep green. Soft buttery leather furniture contrasts beautifully with architectural statement lighting. The stately ambience continues into the men’s washroom where dark wood compliments sleek marble flooring. In the family living room and reading area, architectural and geometrical forms feature in custom-made wood and marble wall coverings. Seating with a classic mid-century modern profile references vintage design, giving the space a refined timeless quality. A warm-hued palette of amber, cream and gold infuses the space with comfort and luxury.
Curating International Influences
The women’s majlis is inspired by the client’s love of travel. This stunning light-filled space is infused with delicate ornamental details that trace Parisian and Southeast Asian decorative references. An elegant color palette of beige, gold, pink and green gives the room a vibrant, yet refined quality. The layout of the women’s majlis celebrates natural light and brings the external landscape into the overall design of the room, creating a fresh and airy ambience. Â
Sleek Lines and a Seamless Transition Between Spaces
The Seba Sultan project is characterized by sleek lines and a seamless transition between spaces. The bedrooms maximize the natural light afforded by the architecture which incorporates skylights to ensure privacy without sacrificing light and ventilation. Stunning light fixtures and sumptuously upholstered furniture feature in the bedrooms and dressing areas, ensuring each space continues a narrative of luxury and comfort. Materials such as marble, velvet, leather, wood, and metal have been thoughtfully woven into a harmonious design, while each piece of art, furniture and fabric reflects Yasmin Alsdais Interiors commitment to bespoke craftsmanship.
